Acknowledge verb  Meaning: To say that something has been received. To accept that something is true. Meaning: She didn’t acknowledge receiving my letter.  She acknowledged that she had seen me there. He didn't acknowledge receiving the parcel.

Acid  noun  Meaning: A chemical substance that is able to dissolve metals. Example: Acid is a chemical substance. They are using acid in the laboratory. He was injured while handling the acid. Acid is the most dangerous chemical.

Achievement   noun Meaning: Something which has been done successfully. Example: She is very modest about her achievements.  Coming sixth was a great achievement since he had never entered the competition before.

Achieve verb  Meaning: To succeed in doing something after trying very hard. Example: Have you achieved all your aims?  The company has achieved great success in the USA. He achieved his goal.

Accuse  verb  Meaning: To say that someone has done something wrong.  Example: The police accused her of stealing the money. He is a wanted accuse in the records of police. (NOTE: You accuse someone of a crime or of doing something.)

Accurately  adverb  Meaning: Correctly. Example: The weather forecast accurately predicted the storm. They accurately forecast the price of shares. The strike was accurately increased by the batsman. No one accurately predicts the future.
